My Mom made this when I was younger and it is such a fun childhood food memory! I decided to make it for a fun snack on a no school day because of the cold!  The version my Mom made was already a gluten free dish  🙂  I had a great helper making this with me!

This is perfect Super Bowl Food!

Taco Plate


Brown 1 pound of hamburger in a skillet with 1/2 of a chopped onion.  Season with a little salt and cumin.  Set aside.


Mix together room temperature 8 oz. package of cream cheese and an 8 oz. container of sour cream.  Spread on two big platters or plates, this makes enough for two taco plates.

Sprinkle the hamburger on top of the cream cheese mixture on each plate.  Then, the fun part is just adding toppings you like.  We put sliced black olives, chopped tomatoes, salsa, lettuce and cheese.

Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
