We love everything in this sandwich 🙂  It’s like a Hawaiian pizza but in a sandwich with yummy barbecue sauce!  My Little Gluten Free Girl loves ham so we get a really yummy gluten free deli sliced ham to make these.  We made these a couple of times last week for lunch!

Hawaiian Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Spread your favorite gluten free BBQ sauce on one piece of gluten free bread.

Place gluten free deli sliced ham on the other piece of bread along with a piece of swiss cheese on top.

Sprinkle as much or as little of the pineapple chunks as you want on top of the cheese and ham.  The pineapple really adds a great pop of flavor!

I used a Panini maker to grill the sandwich.  Spray the Panini grill with olive oil before putting the sandwich on the Panini maker.  Press down for a few minutes until you get a nice golden brown color and until the cheese melts.  If you don’t have a Panini maker, you can just make these in a skillet like a regular grilled cheese sandwich.  Just cook for a few minutes on each side.  Spray the skillet with olive oil first.

It was so good!

Gluten Free and Yummy 🙂
