These are delicious!!  We cannot get enough of them in our house 🙂  So Yummy!!  I loved having both of my kids helping me in the kitchen with these- they had fun making them and eating them!  My Little Gluten Free Girl had never enjoyed a mozzarella stick before, so this was very special and fun to make!

Baked Gluten Free Mozzarella Sticks


First thing is to peel all of the wrappers off the string cheese.  We used our favorite string cheese from Costco and so we got them all ready to go by peeling off the wrappers.  Set them aside.

We got our three containers ready so we could dip and go.  First container we filled with cornstarch, second container we mixed two eggs with a splash of milk, third container we put in our gluten free breadcrumbs.  Just make sure whatever containers you use, they will fit the string cheese.

That’s it!  Just go to work and dip each string cheese into the cornstarch, then into the egg mixture and lastly, dip them in the breadcrumbs and put onto a plate.  Set them in the freezer for about 30 minutes at least before baking.


Take them out of the freezer and bake in a 400 degree oven for about 18-20 minutes.  They will get nice and cheesy!  

We dipped them in basil/oregano tomato sauce and we loved every single bite of them!  Even my Gluten Eating Boy loved these!
