Oh my gosh these were so fun to make!  Of course we love the flavors of basil, tomato and mozzarella cheese and we really like adding black olives to the mix of Caprese flavors!  So, this little snack is a twist on Caprese!

Caprese Ladybugs


Aren’t these cute!!  We always have these things around our kitchen!  We used spinach leaves for the cute little leaf that the ladybug sits on (you can use basil as well).

A piece of fresh mozzarella cheese on top of the leaf, a cherry tomato for the ladybug (we cut a slit in the back of the tomato) sliced black olive for the face and I used a toothpick to dip in balsamic vinegar for the dots on the ladybugs back!  Add a pinch of sea salt over the ladybug and enjoy a fun, healthy snack!
